As part of the legal team, the Legal Intern assists the attorney and staff with the drafting of various legal documents, conducting research and other ad hoc activities related to medical malpractice and personal injury law. Applicants must be pursuing a J.D. degree at an accredited law school. The duties include but are not limited to:
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery demands, and motions
- Compile exhibits
- Assist in trial preparation
- Review medical records
- Attend medical examinations with clients off-site
- Conduct legal research
- Interact with clients in person as well as via phone and email
