$2.3 Million Settlement
Back To All ResultsOur client, a 7-year-old girl, presented to her doctors with abdominal complaints, which they believed was appendicitis. Unfortunately, her doctors failed to diagnose her actual problem, which was a cecal volvulus (twisting of the intestine). Because of the delay in diagnosing her real problem, she suffered an ischemic necrotic bowel (death of her intestine) and abdominal compartment syndrome. To treat this, the doctors needed to remove four feet of her colon. The case settled before trial.
