$2.5 Million Settlement
Back To All ResultsOur client was a 45-year-old married male. He presented to the Emergency Room of a Suffolk County hospital with signs and symptoms of a heart attack. The treating doctor attempted to intubate our client multiple times but was unsuccessful. At one point, the doctor enlisted the help of a respiratory therapist, who also could not establish an airway. The doctor failed to perform a cricothyroidotomy (creating a hole in the neck to insert the trach tube), which could have saved our client. Ultimately, he died in the Emergency Room.
