A 44-year-old married man and father, employed by the NYC Board of Education, lost his life due to a collision. While traveling eastbound on Linden Blvd in Brooklyn, our client was struck by a northbound bus on E53rd Street. The collision caused the bus to veer and hit two parked cars before coming to a stop, impacting nearby homes.
Conflicting accounts emerged from the scene, with both drivers claiming to have had the green light. A witness suggested the possibility that the bus driver had fallen asleep, adding complexity to the investigation.
Our client suffered a cervical (neck) fracture, leading to total quadriplegia. Tragically, he passed away in the hospital approximately seven weeks after the accident.
