RAINN

The Nation’s Largest Anti-Sexual Violence Organization

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault Resource Guide

The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault (The Alliance) works to prevent sexual violence and reduce the harm it causes through education, prevention programming, advocacy for survivors, and the pursuit of legal and policy changes.

NYC HOPE Services


NYC HOPE Services is an online directory of services and information to support survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and crime.

The organizations included in this directory can provide information and referrals to all New Yorkers. Eligibility for some services and programs may depend on a variety of factors related to an organization's grant funding or applicable laws. Factors that may limit eligibility include place of residence, income level, immigration status, or type of victimization experienced since some services are specific to survivors of domestic or gender-based violence.

Woman Kind

Womankind specializes in serving Asian survivors of gender-based violence.

Born from a single, secret helpline during their founding as the New York Asian Women's Center, they have since grown to offer a variety of culturally-humble, holistic services to community members experiencing gender-based violence including domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence. Womankind’s services are rooted in the philosophy of supporting survivors’ rights to self-determination and self-sufficiency in building their paths to healing. Provides a comprehensive range of services to emotionally and physically injured crime victims in Albany County. Services are available to anyone of any age who has experienced a sexual assault or other interpersonal crime at any time in their life, or who has been affected by someone else’s assault.

The Center operates a 24 hour sexual assault hotline for crisis counseling and advocacy at Albany County hospitals and police stations for victims of sexual assault.

Onongada County (Syracuse Area)

Vera House


Victim Advocates provide 24-hour support at Onondaga County hospitals or police stations. An Advocate will meet victims of sexual abuse, sexual assault or rape at the hospital or police station and help them get through the medical examination and, if the victim chooses to report the assault to the police, the reporting process.

The hotline provides 24-hour telephone support for people who have been sexually abused, sexually assaulted or raped, recently or at any time in the past, and for family members in need of support. The Vera House staff and volunteers are available to talk any time about a recent assault or something that happened years ago.

Long Island

The Safe Center of LI

The Safe Center LI, Inc. is a creation of two former non-profit agencies that separately served the victims of domestic abuse and child abuse. Located in a historic Grumman building in Bethpage, it was created in 2014 through the merger of the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CADV) and the Coalition Against Child Abuse & Neglect (CCAN). Each had been providing services for victims of abuse for over 30 years.

Crime Victims Center

The Crime Victims Center (CVC) provides trauma-informed, comprehensive support and services to child and adult victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and all violent crime as well as to elderly, minor, or disabled victims of crime, and victims’ non-offending family members. The Agency, a certified Rape Crisis Center, operates a 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline, as well as 24-hour Violent Crime and Hate Crime Hotlines.

ECLI-VIBES

Provides specialized trauma-informed counseling, advocacy, 24/7 confidential hotline, and legal representation to residents of all ages in Suffolk County.
