At 58 years old, a single woman sought medical attention at a Queens hospital, experiencing severe headaches. Despite her symptoms, doctors overlooked the possibility of a brain aneurysm in their differential diagnosis. They failed to order brain imaging, such as a CAT scan or MRI.

We contended that a prompt diagnosis would have afforded doctors the opportunity to treat the aneurysm preemptively and avert rupture. The case reached a settlement before trial.
