Our client’s journey began with a seemingly routine full-term vaginal delivery, marked by favorable Apgar scores of 9,9, indicating initial signs of health and vitality. However, the joy of his arrival was soon overshadowed by a tragic turn of events.
On the evening following his birth, our client was transferred to the well-baby nursery for routine care and observation. However, during the night, a nurse made a distressing discovery: our client was found face-down and unresponsive in his bassinet, deprived of oxygen and in dire need of intervention.
Allegations surfaced that the nursing staff failed to diligently monitor our client’s condition, leading to a critical lapse in oversight. While swift resuscitation efforts were successful, the irreversible damage had already been inflicted, leaving our client with debilitating brain injury stemming from oxygen deprivation.
This case underscores the imperative of stringent monitoring protocols and the profound repercussions of negligence in healthcare settings. Through our advocacy, were able to secure accountability and restitution for our client’s enduring challenges and the impact on his quality of life.
