Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro, LLP, a prestigious plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice law firm is seeking a dynamic, smart and enthusiastic Law Clerk for our Woodbury, NY location. Over the last forty years, SSKB has won over a half billion dollars in verdicts and settlements for plaintiffs seeking justice in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. With locations in New York City, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Long Island, the firm has been built on the talents and integrity of its wonderful staff and attorneys.

Position Type: Part-Time, Internship, Externship

Desired Class Level (s): 3L (Full Time), 3LE (Part Time), 4LE (Part Time)

Core Responsibilities

  • Legal Research- Conducting in-depth research on legal issues, statutes, and case law
  • Drafting Legal Documents- Preparing legal memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands, briefs, motions, and other court documents.
  • Case Management- Assisting with the organization and tracking of cases, including scheduling and communication with parties involved.
  • Communication- Communicating with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals regarding case status and procedural matters.
  • Reviewing Documents- Analyzing and summarizing legal documents, including contracts and other agreements.
  • Case Preparation- Summarizing and preparing cases for mediations, arbitrations and trials.

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay: $22 per hour
