Salvatore Monello joined Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro as an Associate Attorney after developing a strong background in commercial litigation and appellate practice. Inspired to become a first-generation lawyer in his family, he has dedicated his career to guiding people through pivotal legal challenges with determination and skill.
Mr. Monello earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 2019. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2023, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Honors Board and as Networking Chair of the Italian American Student Bar Association. His leadership and advocacy were recognized with several distinctions at commencement, including awards for Exemplary Contributions to the Law Center and Exceptional Dedication to the Moot Court Honors Board. He also earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Best Appellate Brief.
Prior to joining SSKB, Mr. Monello gained significant experience in a variety of legal roles. He served as an Associate Attorney at a boutique commercial litigation firm, handling complex commercial disputes, and worked as a Research Assistant and Writer for a previous law firm, where he drafted appellate briefs for both state and federal courts, including the Appellate Division, Second Department, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also completed judicial internships with the Honorable Dineen A. Riviezzo in the Kings County Supreme Court, Criminal Term, and the Honorable Margaret Bisignani-Moyle in the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Mr. Monello has worked on a wide range of matters, including class actions, breach of contract disputes, fraud and misrepresentation claims, negligence and premises liability actions, shareholder disputes, civil and criminal appeals, ADA actions, and real estate transactions. His broad experience and strong advocacy background position him to make meaningful contributions to the firm’s work in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.
